DSL Network Simulators

Broadframe provides two different types of DSL Network Simulators. Each product is designed to meet specific customer requirements as described below.

Item   Liberator   Vulcan
Product
Description   The Liberator is a DSL Network Simulator built on a modular platform. It can be upgraded and configured for different operation (network simulator or end-point protocol analysis) and support ADSL or SHDSL interface cards.   For situations that need more than one DSL port, the Vulcan is an 8-port ADSL Network Simulator. Vulcan is a fixed platform and only supports ADSL.
Development   Liberator is ideal for detailed development of advanced DSL protocols.   Vulcan is used in development when several developers need simultaneous access to a DSLAM.
Testing   Liberator is used for conformance testing and low volume production test.   Vulcan supports eight ports which will allow an operator to test several units in production testing
Demonstration   Liberator is portable and is ideal for demonstration purposes.   Vulcan was designed for a lab environment.
Target Customer   Liberator is designed for the DSL hardware and software developer. Liberator has several hand-on tools that are also ideal for test labs and field support/sales.   Vulcan is ideal in production test, for large software development teams, and for training purposes.
