Austin, TX USA – June 1, 2004 – Broadframe Corporation announces availability of the Vulcan low cost multi-port ADSL Network Simulator. The Broadframe Vulcan is a powerful compact unit that allows developers to connect into a "simulated Internet" to develop, test, and demonstrate their ADSL products over a network in a controlled environment.

The alternative to Vulcan requires significant time and cost building a system based on expensive carrier class equipment, service nodes and servers to simulate an ADSL network. The Vulcan ADSL Network Simulator can be set up in 30 minutes, weighs in at 9 pounds, and replaces three complex network elements: DSL Access Multiplexor (DSLAM), Service Node, and Internet Server.

Integrating these three network elements with eight DSL ports and eight POTS ports in one unit allows Vulcan to provide a comprehensive test package at a low cost per port. Users can develop, test for performance and interoperability, and demonstrate products in a reliable network with guaranteed bandwidth and no configuration or line allocation worries.

The Vulcan User Interface provides easy access to network and systems configuration and provides ADSL link performance and statistics.

Applications

Customer Premise Equipment (CPE) manufacturers can use Vulcan for production testing, network development, performance testing and interoperability testing.
