IntroductionBroadframe Corporation, based in Austin, Texas, delivers network-level broadband tools for cost-effective development, test, and demonstration of broadband products. We offer Liberator DSL Network Simulator, DSLscope DSL Protocol Analyzer, and Vulcan Multi-port DSL Network Simulator. Broadframe Mission StatementThe Broadframe charter is to provide easy-to-use tools that reduce the complexity and cost of broadband product development, demonstration and deployment. ProductsThe Broadframe product platform is based on a flexible software and hardware architecture designed for quick adaptation to support different applications (simulators, protocol analyzers, performance tools) and broadband technologies (ADSL, Cable Modem, SDSL, HDSL, VDSL, Wireless). The flexible architecture allows Broadframe to bring new broadband tools to market to meet customer need as new broadband technologies are adopted. The Broadframe Liberator is the first product in a family of DSL tools. The Liberator simulates an ADSL Access Multiplexer (DSLAM) and provides the appearance of a live Internet connection. Connection to a virtual Internet allows the user to develop or demonstrate their application over a live network in a controlled environment where an ADSL line is not available, practical, or consistent in performance. DSLscope from Broadframe provides a cost-effective DSL Protocol Analyzer (AAL5 packet) for use in the development and testing of ADSL equipment. DSLscope provides powerful protocol analysis capabilities to engineers and technicians by capturing, decoding and displaying the detailed contents of the DSL ATM AAL5 packets passed across an DSL line. DSLscope is the first DSL protocol analyzer to provide the user with visibility of nested packet headers directly on the DSL line. DSLscope displays the contents of DSL-specific encapsulation protocols such as RFC1483/2684, PPPoA and PPPoE. Vulcan is a low cost multi-port network simulator for production test and demonstration of ADSL CPE equipment. The Broadframe Vulcan simulates an ADSL Access Multiplexer (DSLAM) and an access concentrator with a sample of Internet content to provide the experience of a live Internet connection. Vulcan is an excellent tool for ADSL product developers, test engineers, and test technicians who benefit from connecting their products to a virtual Internet in a controlled environment. Customer BaseBroadframe customers are the product developers, test engineers, test technicians, field sales representatives, service providers, and content developers (ISPs, ASPs) who build or contribute to broadband products. Management TeamThe Broadframe management team has extensive experience in the design, development, and marketing of software and hardware products for the data and telecommunications industries. Their backgrounds include Advanced Micro Devices (AMD), AT&T Bell Labs, Federal Express, IBM, and TeleSoft International.
